Catalyst Solutions, LLC is currently looking for a Systems Engineer with a minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience in Defense Systems Acquisition.

Overview: This position requires a person who is motivated to perform independent research and analysis while also contributing to problem-solving and technical planning as a member of a collaborative Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Job Tasks:

Assist government programs by providing systems engineering technical knowledge in a support role
Maintain configuration management over documentation, software, and data
Identify future needs and plan system development to address them
Identify and manage program requirements and infrastructure in accordance with DoD defense acquisition guidelines
Technical Tasks:

Utilize Systems Engineering best practices in accordance with IEEE 15288.2
Write and maintain systems engineering documentation in accordance with MCSC guidance:
Analysis of Alternatives (AoA)
User Requirements Documentation
Systems Engineering Plan (SEP)
Performance Specification (PSPEC)
Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
System/Subsystem Design Description (SSDD)
Software Version Description (SVD)
Programmatic Baseline documentation (Functional, Allocated, Initial Product, Final Product)
Programmatic Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE)
Test Engineering Management Plan (TEMP)
Test Plans, Procedures, and Reports
Establish and manage Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), to include:
Technical Review Action Plan (TRAP)
Technical Review Data Package (TRDP)
Confirmation Brief
SETR Summary Report
Establish and manage obsolescence management for periodic hardware upgrades and system overhauls to ensure systems remain up to date
Perform testing of networked devices to ensure the proper quality of service
Document and troubleshoot system problems to ensure program operations run smoothly
Work Activities:

“Translate” program needs into clear statements that can be addressed with systems solutions
Identify potential issues and proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure accessibility
Collect information from varied relevant sources
Effectively communicate information and ideas in written, oral, and visual presentations
Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
Professional services and consulting in support of government agencies and private industry
Tools and Technology:

Microsoft Office Suite software-particularly MS Excel, MS Access, and Visual Basic
Windows 10 – Configuration and Imaging
CM PRO – Product Lifecycle Management software
SharePoint / Web-based collaborative tools
Issues Tracking software

Programming (including MATLAB)

Preferred Experience and Other Qualifications:

Ability to obtain a Secret DoD security clearance required
Experience with DoD systems acquisitions practices such as IEEE 15288.2 preferred
MCSA certification preferred
Willingness and ability to surge in support of program requirements
Experience with DoD systems acquisition practices-such as SETR and testing- preferred
